The 2013 Nayaug Canoe and Kayak Race was a success. We would like to thank all who volunteered or participated in the event.

Bring your canoe or kayak and the family for a casual paddle on the Connecticut River in the Nayaug Family Fun Paddle, which begins at 12:30. Aimed at new paddlers and families, the Fun Paddle will be escorted by members of the New England Canoe and Kayak Association. Fun Paddle participants should bring their own boat. A limited number of canoes will be available, first come, first served. All racers must wear a personal floatation device.

The day’s events start at 9 a.m. with a pancake breakfast served by Fire Company #1. Race registration starts at 9:30 a.m., and the 5 and 8-mile races start at 11 a.m. Registration fees are $20 for persons age 16 and older and $10 for those under 12.   Admission and parking are free.
